My sweet, sweet Jacy..

In honor of college and high school seniors, I want to dedicate a special blog post to each senior I have had the pleasure of photographing during this special time. I truly cannot imagine what they are going through not being able to spend these last few weeks without their friends, going to prom, preparing for graduation ceremonies and everything else! My heart aches for them. Those weeks host some of the most special memories for me!

Let me tell you about my Jacy Malene because she is truly special!

I have known Jacy her entire life, her Mama has known me my entire life, you get it. Generations of friendship, but a lot more like family. I may be a little bias but Jacy is one of the most well rounded 18 year olds I know. Let me brag! Throughout her HS career, she has been involved in Beta Club, Tennis, Band, Chorus, lead roles in Spring Musicals, Seminary, Homecoming Court, Junior Class Marshal, Hurricane Relief Efforts all while giving her 110% academically maintaining a seat in the top 5 of her class. I am so proud of her!

I am so thankful I have been there to capture Jacy throughout these last four years. I have missed capturing her senior prom more than anything these last few weeks. See, I started taking Jacy's older cousin, Eden, prom accessory shopping when she was in high school. It was the best day! We'd always get Mexican, hit up all the stores trying to find the perfect complimenting jewelry, shoes, clutch - whatever she needed! Jacy would always tag along with Edie and I on these adventures. When it was time for her first prom, the tradition continued. I love those two like the baby "seesters" I never had. I hope they both know how much they mean to me.

If you know Jacy personally, you know that she spreads joy wherever she goes. Her bubbly, giving and loving personality are among a few of the best things about her. She is so much like her Grandma Susan! Her determination along with her joyful spirit will take her places. I am so excited to see Jacy start her next chapter. She will be starting ECU in the fall, along with her cousin Grant (who you'll hear more about later!). Edie will be so happy to have Jacy and her brother, Grant, with her in Greenville!

Jacy plans to apply to nursing school in anticipation of starting her junior year at ECU. Her longterm goal is to become a nurse practitioner. I know she will do it and she will be the BEST.

Jacy Malene, I love you and you make me so proud!

Enjoy a few from her senior session, along with other special moments I've captured along the way.
